A new luxury hotel in one of the country’s most sought-after vacation spots needed a way to ensure smooth key management, minimal system redundancies and as few syncing errors as possible. The developers also turned to Octeum to bridge the gap between the hotel’s existing Avigilon ACM system and a Traka key management system. The hotel’s new key management system required the client to go into Traka to add a user’s Avigilon ACM credentials every time access needed to be granted. A task that not only created redundant work, but introduced potential for manual error every time the system was accessed.

Octeum was tasked with eliminating manual identity, token and role information syncing in Traka.

After ensuring our solution would meet the hotel’s needs, Octeum jumped into two phases: development and deployment.

Deployment

  • The Avigilon/Traka sync solution will be deployed remotely to the hotel’s server.
  • User roles will be automatically synced into Traka when assigned in Avigilon.

Octeum’s automatic syncing solution allows users to swipe their Avigilon card at a Traka reader to access their designated key boxes. For the hotel, that equals some big security benefits.
